Drake Passage

Some of my friends who have served in the Navy think I'm crazy for going on this expedition to Antarctica. They ask if I will be crossing the Drake Passage then proceed to tell me how monstrous the waves can get in this part of the Southern Ocean. The Drake Passage is a stretch of ocean between Ushuaia (Argentina) and the Antarctic Peninsula. I searched YouTube and found a couple of clips which everyone should enjoy. This crossing is what worries me the most about the expedition. I have never been sea sick, but then again, I have never been on the ocean in waves like these.
